1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how BreakHeroes ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use breakheroes.com (the "Service"). The Service is a free, publicly-accessible website providing travel timing analysis and curated destination guides.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

The Service does not require user accounts, does not include sign-up or contact forms, and does not accept user-submitted content. We do not request or collect any personal information that you would actively provide to us.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Service, our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) automatically processes the following technical information for security, abuse prevention, and operational stability:

  • IP address
  • User agent (browser identifier)
  • Requested URL and timestamp
  • Referrer header

This data is processed by Cloudflare on our behalf as a data processor. We do not access individual-level logs and do not maintain any independent records of visits.

3. How We Use Information

The technical information described in Section 2.2 is used to:

  • Operate and maintain the Service;
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
  • Generate aggregate, non-identifying statistics about traffic volume and geography.

We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, automated decision-making, or to identify individual visitors.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Article 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interests: operating, securing, and protecting the Service against abuse.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service does not set cookies. We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any client-side analytics tools (Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Fathom, or similar).

Your browser may store standard cache files locally; this is independent of the Service and is not considered a cookie under the ePrivacy Directive.

6. Third-Party Services

Cloudflareprocesses technical request data as described in Section 2.2. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

External links. The Service contains hyperlinks to third-party websites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy practices of that website apply. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites.

7. International Data Transfers

Cloudflare is a US-incorporated company with global infrastructure. Technical data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare maintains data centers. Cloudflare relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and applicable adequacy frameworks for cross-border transfers.

8. Data Retention

We retain no personal data ourselves. Cloudflare retains operational logs according to its own retention schedule (generally a few days for raw request logs; longer for aggregated security telemetry).

9. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction granting similar rights, you may have the following rights regarding personal data:

  • Right of access — to obtain confirmation of whether personal data is being processed and a copy of that data.
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Because we do not maintain personal data ourselves, requests regarding logged technical data should be directed to Cloudflare. For all other inquiries, contact us at hello@breakheroes.com.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has interacted with us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Security

The Service is delivered over HTTPS with HSTS enforcement. While we apply reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted through the internet.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
